Changing a tenants main domain

The main domain of the tenant is the primary domain that it's available under. It will also be the value for home and siteurl options. Check this guide on how to set a domain as main domain.

When your domain gets verified, you can set it as a main domain. The main domain serves as the home and all the data of the old main domain gets replaced with the new main domain.

However, if you have added multiple domains for your tenant, the main domain will be used in the database and other domains will function as redirect domains. The reason behind the redirection is the default WP behaviour. For example, you can use plugins to have different behaviour for different domains using the domain mapping plugin.

In this documentation, we will explore steps to set a domain as a main domain:

Let’s get started🚀

Step 1: Log in to your wildcloud account and you will be navigated to the Applications page by default.

Step 2: Click on Go To App of the app in which you want to set the domain as the main domain.
